Today's Bible Reading...
Job 12:1 - 15:35 -
1 Corinthians 15:29-58 - *Job 13:4 - "Ye are all physicians of no value" - We, as Americans, give to much credit to physicians. We flock to them like idols and worship the very words they feed us; all the while not healing nor ding any good no, not healing at all, rather doing more harm than good. The list of side effects is often more treacherous than the disease itself.
The Lord is the Great Physician, He is the one who heals not merely medicates. Go to Him with your physical infirmities and sicknesses do not seek the physicians of no value, for they are no more than witch doctors and those that seek to keep you tethered to idols and not free from them.
If you went to a car mechanic and he charged you $500 and said the car would be fixed and you later found the mechanic did nothing at all except swindle you... would you return to that mechanic or would you seek assistance somewhere else? I presume you would go to another mechanic. So why do we continue to go to doctors who cannot heal and never do, rather they medicate and only mask... that is not healing!

While receiving a new believer or one that is weak in the faith is obviously important, it is equally important to understand the condition that is laid out as well. "Doubtful disputations"... disputation is defined as debate or argument. So when a new believer comes in accepting them is important but equally important is correcting their false beliefs. Remember they are new, babes, unlearned so they have not known the correct doctrine nor learned the right way of thinking so correcting them is the only way.
It is also important because if the new believer is truly converted they will be open to learning the ways of the Lord and not wholeheartedly sold out to their old world ways and worldly thinking. If the weak in faith do not convert and change their thinking then it is permissible to utilize church discipline eventually leading to them being rejected.
