Today's Bible Reading...

Leviticus 19:1 - 20:21 - vs 5. "And if you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will". God is not demanding in His Love, it is a privilege to sacrifice to Him, not one thing that was ever given up for Jesus is not repaid or rewarded God is not a debtor to anyone. "For the Lord loves a cheerful giver". What a pleasure and joy it is to serve the King of the Universe, to think that He; perfect in nature, Glorious i being wants anything to do with me blows my mind, but thanks to Jesus Christ God does want to have a relationship with me and with you...!

vs 20:11 - Here we see an OT (old testament) law that was broken in the NT (new testament) in 1 Corinthians Paul addresses this very law being broken and we see how the NT deals with OT law. Paul says to admonish the young man to stop committing the sin and if he does not then proper church discipline will be enacted. But the young man does stop so Paul stands up for the man telling the church in Corinth to treat him in a loving way and as you would any other brother in the Lord.

I like this whole ordeal because it speaks to me about the meshing of the OT and NT. While, as Christians, we are not under the Law as a way of righteousness God's Law's still apply again not for a way of being righteous toword God but because He is God and frankly He knows what He is talking about in regard to Holy living. Not so we can be accepted Jesus blood on the cross did that but God's Law is still perfect and able to show the way to any who want to learn an listen. This is also a great example of the difference between OT Laws and OT precepts. Precepts were for the Children of Israel i.e. sacrificial precepts etc. laws are for everyone including Christians today!

Mark 8:11-38 -

Psalm 42:1-11 -

Proverbs 10:17 -
