Today's Bible Reading...

Leviticus 25:47 - 27:13 - vs 47 - Got your brothers back. It is important and we see it here in this first section of scripture to have a close eye on our brothers to take care of them as their needs arise. I will add that this is not only true of fellow Christians but the world at large. Notice, however, I said "needs" for thir is a huge difference between needs and wants. be smart Christian and above all be loving, loving to a fault, over and above; outpouring with love and care even.

26:3-41 - I am so moved by this section of scripture because it shows so much into the hear of God. In short is shows how following after Him living as He prescribed in loving devotion not turning aside to idols pays off. It will be less work with higher reward. SO many times the back sliding Christian find himself striving more and more try to make ends meet make more money etc all to no avail. Why? Because if your heart is to simply make more money, protect your pride via "I must take care of my family" etc God does ntot honor that. Don't get me wrong it is the Christian man's duty to take care of his family but again does a one bedroom apt with a used care mean no care is taken when the new house with payment and care that costs and extra things mean better care is taken, no.

I council people all the time who are burried in debt and the excuse is care must be given for the family. But when I show them and apartment that is one quarter the cost and a used car for two months car payment they refure citing some exuse or another. God doesn't want our excuses He wants to bless, mainly because where He is, there also is blessing. SImply being where He is following His every lead lends to blessing. Notfor blessing sake for that would be like a geenie ina bottle. If in fact He wants you to live poor on the street He is worthy of being followed to the street for fellowship and loving life with Him.

Christian do not let the ways of this world the lust of the eyes the lust of the flesh and the pride of life fool you into thinking God is not caring for you for this is not the case. Follow Him and be satisfied with whatever He deems right to provide for you as you deserve nothing at all!

vs26:41 - I find it interesting that part of the repentance process is knowing and stating to God that He is the reason for the bad things that are happening. Think about that for a while, Selah!

Mark 10:32-52 - How far we have come from the Biblical model of the Church and fellowship with Jesus, we are not to have one exercising Lordship over us. Wow. Where is the Plymouth Brethren, house church - everyone ministering as he is guided, when you need it. Lord please guide us! (Check A.N. Groves, and George Muller for reference to this movement and early church life)

Psalm 45:1-17 -

Proverbs 10:22 - One of my favorite proverbs especially in light of today's Leviticus reading and the provision of Jesus and the believer!
