Today's Bible Reading...

Genesis 18:20-19:39 - This was the ultimate downfall of Lot's wife. there is a deep lesson to learn from one who looks back. Jesus talks more about what it is to look back in Luke 9:62 warning that those who do are not fit for the Kingdom of Heaven. Again the warning goes out to remember Lots wife in Luke 17:32. For to look back at this fallen world and long for it rather than long for the Kingdom of Heaven is to not be fit or to not be one who will be in Heaven. As no one is "fit" to be in Heaven except by the blood of Jesus Christ as we are new creations in Him.

Vs. 27 - Having a place where we commune with the Lord is the fact of all believers and those who desire to seek after the Lord. Not as a lawful or rule type thing but rather a safe place to be distraction free as we talk and interact with our Father in Heaven

Vs. 28 - The entire area was destroyed and not just the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah I think this is important that the judgment was not limited to these two cities.


Matthew 6:25-7:14 - Vs. 7:13-14 - The way to Heaven is not easy nor broad filled with our own ways and means but it is a strict way a way that goes simply through Jesus Christ and self denial and following after His ways!
